Does BetterShield interfere with N-95 masks?
No, BetterShield was specifically designed and tested NOT to interfere with N-95 masks. This includes standard molded as well as “duckbill-type” masks. Depending on a number of variables, the shield surface itself may lightly touch the tip of an N-95, however, this contact does not interfere with user “fit” or functionality.

What are those 3 lumps in the forehead area?
That’s called the “Tripod”. Those 3 points, where BetterShield contacts the head, make it comfortable to wear, and allow hot air, such as from exhaled breath, to easily escape up and out of the face area. This creates a mild convection current, bringing in cooler air from the bottom, enhancing user comfort.

Can BetterShield be used as an infection control alternative to goggles?
CDC/National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health: Eye Protection for Infection Control
"Face shields are commonly used as an infection control alternative to goggles. As opposed to goggles, a face shield can also provide protection to other facial areas. To provide better face and eye protection from splashes and sprays, a face shield should have crown and chin protection and wrap around the face to the point of the ear, which reduces the likelihood that a splash could go around the edge of the shield and reach the eyes."
